Of the 81 players on the Packers’ current roster, 66 have never worn another uniform – even in training camp. I don’t have the time to research the rest of the league, but I’m guessing no other team comes close to that percentage. Of the 15 players who have spent time elsewhere (Matt Flynn, DuJuan Harris, Michael Hill, John Kuhn, Jarrett Boykin, Aaron Adams, Grant Gerhart, Andrew Tiller, Letroy Guion, Julius Peppers, Tramon Williams, Jumal Rolle, Jarrett Bush, Chris Banjo and Tim Masthay), only Flynn, Kuhn, Harris, Hill, Guion and Peppers have worn another jersey in a regular season game. What does this mean? Well, it means GM Ted Thompson and coach Mike McCarthy have stuck with their draft and develop philosophy through the years. And it also means that you probably shouldn’t hold your breath waiting for a veteran center or nose tackle from another team to come walking through the door anytime soon.
